Most of the money for loans comes from the earnings on the Foundation's endowment, which is made up of memorial funds and special funds. We also raise money through other fundraising activities.

How can I donate?  Checks may be made payable to DFS of Lancaster County and mailed to P.O. Box 1601, Lancaster, PA 17608. If a donation is meant for a permanent or an accumulating fund, indicate the name of the fund in the memo portion of the check, or enclose a note.

Is a donation to DFS tax deductible?  Yes, Dollars for Scholars of Lancaster County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation as designated by the IRS. 

I would like to establish a permanent fund in memory of a loved one. How do I go about it?  A fund becomes permanent when a minimum of $10,000 has been deposited.
